Steve is currently the Field Supervisor for Benton County Mosquito Control and has been involved with mosquito control operations for over 45 years. He began his career in mosquito control as a seasonal field technician with Benton County Mosquito Control during the summer of 1980.

He is a former manager of both the Benton County Mosquito Control and Yakima County Mosquito Control programs. In addition to his work with public entities, Steve is a former employee of Clarke Mosquito Control and Valent BioSciences. At Clarke, Steve held the positions of Control Consultant, Distributor Coordinator and Western Regional Manager. With Valent he held the position of Technical Sales Specialist.

His work history has given him an in-depth understanding of mosquito control including field operations, administration, product development and formulation, product trials, and product sales and marketing.
